On October 14th, 2011, Joan Luenemann,
wife of Washington University head volleyball coach, suffered
a subarachnoid hemorrhage in her brain. The Luenemanns have strong
ties to the community as well as to present and former volleyball players.
A benefit for the Luenemanns has
been planned for SATURDAY,
APRIL 21st at Washington University's South Campus from 12:30pm - 2:30pm.
There will be an alumni volleyball
scrimmage to watch as well as contests, silent auctions (for stuff like
Cardinals tickets and use of a condo for the weekend), raffles (for Asics
shoes, volleyballs, lottery tickets and MORE), and various baked goods for
sale.
ALL PROFITS will go to helping the
Luenemann family pay for Joan's medical expenses.
There is a $5 donation at the door (cash or check ONLY).
